The Beauty Wonders of Coconut Oil

I LOVE Coconut Oil! I've been using it for everything. Even as a face wash?! Which I at first I was like no.. But yes it works great! Especially for my skin out here in the dessert. Which brings me to my 7 uses for this magical oil...

1. Face Wash

I've been using Coconut oil on my face for the last week and noticed a huge difference in the feeling and texture of my skin. No more flaky redness. My wrinkles even seem less prevalent. Will up date as I continue to use.

Fun Fact: Oil dissolves oil.
By using the right oils, you can cleanse your pores of dirt and bacteria naturally, gently and effectively, while replacing the dirty oil with beneficial ones extracted from natural botanicals, vegetables and fruit that heal, protect and nourish your skin.

2. Makeup Remover

Yes, coconut oil even works on waterproof mascara! Put a little of this coconut oil on a cotton ball and gently sweep it over your eyes. The oil does a great job breaking down waxy, inky eye makeup, and leaves the delicate area hydrated, too.

3. Body Moisturizer

It has been found to be effective in increasing hydration and reducing water loss in seriously dry skin. Plus it smells delicious, is very affordable, and leaves my skin feeling nourished and smooth!

4. To Shave Your Legs

Say NO to those chemical filled shaving creams. Coconut oil, on the other hand, is inexpensive, naturally antimicrobial, and smells divine. Plus, its skin-soothing properties will leave your legs looking hydrated but never greasy.

5. Summer Highlighter

Nothing perks up a tired face like a little highlighter. Simply sweep a small amount of organic coconut oil on top of makeup and leave it alone. You will get that dewy glow everyone is trying to achieve this summer. If you're looking for a more portable option, try the cult favorite Living Luminizer by RMS Beauty, which has a coconut-oil base and light reflecting pigment.

6. Deep Conditioner

It's better able to penetrate hair and prevent protein loss than mineral and sunflower oil. Who knew?! Apply a quarter-size dollop to your hair, comb it, and then pile it into a loose bun. You'll want to place a soft towel over your pillow or sleep in a shower cap. In the morning, shampoo as usual with a gentle cleanser. Also, works great for all you blondes out there who get the bleached out ends. Try this during your pool day. You can also comb through and braid it back.

7. To Add Shine

Smooth a tiny amount of coconut oil onto your ends of your hair to add a little shine, or on flyaways. Remember that a dab will do you and any more and your hair might appear greasy.
